I'm tired of people referring to computer users who can do more than turn it on and off as "geeks". This is really getting old.
Computer programming is a very accessible career path for many educated individuals. If you're really good, you can get it just by learning on your own. These are not geeks, they're just regular people of all stripes.
Some like NFL Sundays, not all are into Dungeons and Dragons. This constant use of the term "geek" for someone who can operate their computer is lazy and archaic in my opinion, not at all an accurate description of those millions who're able to simply work their computing machines.
"Geek", let's put that one to rest, shall we?
"Nerd" is still kind of fun, though. :)
